Elevate Community Business Academy Instructor
Sarah Swedburg is the Business Development Manager at the Kandiyohi County and City of Willmar Economic Development Commission. In addition to being an Elevate CBA Instructor she works closely with business owners in Kandiyohi County providing guidance and financial assistance. Her commitment to providing resources and mentoring business owners through processes gained her recognition through the Willmar Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Young Leader Award.
As a graduate of Bemidji State University, Sarah’s formal education is in human geography, regional planning, and geographic information systems. She has nearly five years of experience in community and economic development. Prior to her position at the EDC, Sarah served as City Planner and Willmar Main Street Coordinator for the City of Willmar. She is most proud of Willmar’s “Artists on Main Street” project that funded creative community members to implement projects encouraging more everyday gatherings downtown.
